Adinkra is a cultural education app designed to help users learn about Akan Adinkra symbols, their meanings, and pronunciation. Originally built with UIKit, I rebuilt the app using SwiftUI to modernize its architecture and improve performance. The app includes audio playback with AVFoundation, offline storage via Core Data, and uses async/await with Combine to ensure smooth and responsive interactions. I also integrated Core ML to allow users to scan and identify symbols using their device’s camera, adding an AI-powered interactive layer to the experience.
